EXTENSIVE HR EXPERIENCE GAINED WITHIN MULTINATIONAL ENVIRONMENTS, WITHIN A VARIETY OF INDUSTRIES

Şermin Yılmaz was awarded her Bachelor’s degree in ELT and her MSc in Measurement and Evaluation, from METU. She started working at Başkent University as an instructor and later at Bilgi University. Opting to work in the private sector, she has worked as training, recruitment, people development and HR director in a wide range of industries like IT, insurance, real estate, tourism and telecommunication at national and multinational companies, ie.AIG, REMAX and Kempinski. She has also participated in the foundation of corporate academies.

Currently, she works at TurkNet as Chief Human Resources Offices. She is also doing her PhD on Management and Organization at Bahçeşehir University, whilst continuing her studies on Corporate Innovation and Personal Innovation.

Şermin Yılmaz defines personal innovation notion as an active consciousness, beyond personal development and personal growth, that continues to evolve and turns into a habit, eventually. On corporate level, the innovation strategy commits to activate the corporate potential fully and to increase profitibality. Corporations develop based on people, as the product of human mind and act, thus makes corporate innovation a derivative of personal innovation.

She accumulated her personal innovation experiences that matured throughout the years in business life in four books, which are “Fikir Satıcısı”, “Her Gün Yeni Bir Ben”, “Aşk-ı Can” and “Güneş Sarısı”.
